The Elmhurst Heritage Foundation is proud to announce that the 2015 Summer Fun & Games at the Elmhurst Historical Museum is being sponsored by Jennifer and Dan Berg. Jennifer currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Foundation.
The Summer Fun & Games program takes place on Tuesdays for children age three to twelve accompanied by a parent or caregiver. Each week, Museum staff present a different drop-in craft activity – either Peanuts or vintage-themed – in the Museum’s Education Center, located just south of the Glos Mansion at 120 E. Park Ave. in Elmhurst, from 12 noon-2:00 p.m. The cost to participate is $2 for members of the Elmhurst Heritage Foundation and $4 for non-members. No reservations are required.
In addition, families are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the Museum grounds. A limited number of picnic tables are available or BYO blanket. Complimentary juice boxes and a sweet treat will be provided (while supplies last).
After the program, be sure to stop in the Elmhurst Historical Museum for family-friendly tours of the “Pigskin Peanuts” and “By All Accounts: The Story of Elmhurst” exhibits. Age-appropriate activity sheets are available for visitors while exploring the Museum, and admission is free.
